This weekend children with special needs had the opportunity to participate in a sporting event held at the D-1 Sports indoor facility on Franklin Avenue.

No Limitations hosted the event and all children who either played in the football game or cheered on the sideline were disabled. But that didn’t stop them from having a great time.

Founder for No Limitations Coleen Heaton explains where the name comes from,”This was the only name that fit. No Limitations. We see these children come out here and their parents see them do stuff they were told they couldn’t do.”

Children scored touchdowns, caught passes, and even preformed half-time shows.

“These kids really ignited something for the adults here but for the community as well and it’s great to see a response like that,” says D-1 owner Kevin Engelbrecht.

In 4 weeks the organization is planning to have their “Super Bowl” event for the children along with 2 yet to be named celebrity quarterbacks.
